- There are about 65195 incomes within the city limits through the Satara Municipal Council and the collection of these incomes is done through the recovery department. 

- Also the collection of water tax is done through the collection department.

- Charges are made by the Authorized Valuation Officer as per the rate fixed by the zone wise type of construction.

- Income tax demand bill is issued under Section 150 of Maharashtra Municipal Council, Municipalities and Industrial Towns Act, 1965.

- Taxation of Satara Municipal Council is based on annual rent.
